The header picture and the one on this page were taken while I was visiting the Indian Village filmsite for the movie Dances With Wolves. I was there in 1991 right after the movie had been released, and got to visit while on wheat harvest. The site was about 20 miles north of Rapid City, South Dakota.
The tepee below is where they filmed the interior scenes for the movie.
How I got there was an amazing story! It was an incredible segment of my Road to Healing, and part of a very magical summer.
